I developed an interest in Orthodontics during my undergraduate dental training where it was fascinated by the blend of science and art. As a specialist Orthodontist, I have the opportunity to treat adults adolescents and children of all ages. I particularly enjoy challenging multidisciplinary care working alongside my speciality colleagues to be able to offer the highest quality care.

I take pride in ensuring that my patients are treated holistically and every aspect of their dental need, both present and future are considered. A smile should be for life and can, with care and attention be enhanced and preserved.

I studied Dentistry at the University of Newcastle, graduating in 2008, I then went on to complete my vocational training in the London scheme and worked in a number of leading teaching hospitals in London as a junior doctor providing speciality Paediatric, Oral surgery and Oral Maxillofacial surgical care.

These posts have allowed me to go on to specialise in Orthodontics where I was privileged to undertake my speciality registrar training at the Eastman Dental Institute, London. Alongside my clinical training, I undertook research into craniofacial bone tissue engineering as part of my Masters in Orthodontics in 2014 and subsequently entry onto the GDC Specialist register.

I went on to obtain my Fellowship in Orthodontics with the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2016 after completing further training at the world-renowned Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge and Guys and St Thomas Hospital, London where I gained experience in treating patients requiring multidisciplinary care for the management of facial deformity (Orthognathic surgery), Hypodontia (missing teeth) and Cleft Lip and Palate. I have also been involved in the teaching and training of Post-Graduate students and Orthodontic Therapist, and continue to be actively involved with teaching at a local and regional level.

I currently provide treatments using fixed braces including aesthetics appliances (tooth coloured brackets), removeable braces including aligner based systems and lingual appliances (those placed behind your teeth). I am certified in the use of the ‘WIN’ Lingual system and Invisalign.
