An introduction to our practice; Neel Dentistry
Headed by our Principal Dentist Neel Jaiswal, Neel Dentistry is composed of an award-winning team of clinicians who are all highly trained to provide our patients with dental treatments within the cosmetic, implant, orthodontic and general fields of dentistry. By creating a warm and comfortable environment, our dental team will work together to provide you with a service and a result you will be happy with.
If you have not yet visited our practice, then we will invite you to have a consultation with one of our clinicians before starting any form of dental treatment. The purpose of this consultation is to allow us to assess your medical and dental health, carry out a full examination of your teeth, determine what you want to achieve and address any concerns you may have.
If you are unsure of what dental treatment you would like but concerned with the aesthetics of your smile, you may want to consider having a smile makeover.
What you need to know about having a smile makeover
At Neel Dentistry, we offer to our patients what is known as a smile makeover, which uses several cosmetic dental treatments in order to improve the smile. The treatments will vary from patient to patient, and each treatment will be explained prior to the makeover.
The smile makeover can include cosmetic dental treatments such as tooth whitening, veneers and orthodontics. An orthodontic treatment that may be included in your smile makeover is Invisalign; this is a system that uses clear aligners to straighten teeth comfortably and efficiently.
An introduction to Invisalign
If Invisalign is a suitable orthodontic treatment for your dental issue, our Invisalign dentist in Welwyn will begin the treatment by using a digital scanner to take a scan of your teeth, the results of which will be used to make your aligners. The 3D scan will also give you the opportunity to see a model of your teeth and how your smile will look following treatment with Invisalign.
Once the aligners have been made, our Invisalign dentist in Welwyn will provide you with a series of custom-made, clear aligners throughout the treatment. You will be required to wear each aligner for about one to two weeks; however, our Invisalign dentist in Welwyn will advise you on the exact duration.
You will be required to wear the aligner for at least 22 hours a day, removing them only to eat, drink and brush your teeth following meals.
We will also ask you to visit our clinic every four to six weeks. This will allow us to give you your next series of aligners and monitor your progress to ensure your teeth are moving as expected. Once you have completed the Invisalign treatment, you will only be required to wear retainers whilst you sleep to keep your teeth straight and maintain your smile.
