Having a great smile is important to many of us, however some of us may not be completely satisfied with how our teeth look and might be looking for ways to have a better smile. If this is something you can relate to, you may want to consider visiting us at Neel Dentistry, where we offer orthodontic treatment to help you achieve the smile you want.
An introduction to our dental practice, Neel Dentistry
Based in the heart of Welwyn Village, our dental practice Neel Dentistry is dedicated to providing comprehensive care and high quality dental treatments to our patients. Our experienced team of highly qualified clinicians work together, to ensure all our patients have a positive experience at our practice and leave with their desired results.
If your main dental concern has been to improve your smile, you may want to consider orthodontic treatment. At Neel Dentistry, we offer two main types of orthodontic treatment; fixed braces and Invisalign in Welwyn, which both work by using appliances to shift your teeth into position.
Fixed braces, also known as traditional metal braces, are commonly known to be an effective orthodontic treatment especially for children, however as an adult, you may not want others to know you are undergoing orthodontic treatment. If this is you, you may want to consider Invisalign.
An alternative to fixed braces
Using revolutionary technology, Invisalign in Welwyn is a popular choice for individuals who are looking for a more discreet way to straighten their teeth and improve their smile.
If you are interested in having this treatment, you will first have a consultation with one of our dental professionals in order to determine whether Invisalign is the right treatment for your dental issue. In this consultation, we will use a state-of-the-art digital scanner in order to take a scan of your teeth.
This scan will provide us with a 3D model of your teeth which you will be shown on a screen, along with an image of how your teeth are likely to look when you have completed the Invisalign treatment.
If you are happy to go ahead with Invisalign in Welwyn, you will then be provided with a 3D animated plan referred to as a ‘ClinCheck’ which is a digitally formulated treatment plan allowing you to see how your teeth and smile will transform during the treatment.
You will then be asked to return back to the practice once your aligners are ready. You will be given a series of aligners which you will be required to wear for at least 22 hours a day on average, changing them every one to two weeks, however our dentist will let you know how long you should wear each aligner for. You will also be invited back to our practice every four to six weeks in order to collect your new series of aligners, as well as to monitor the progress of the treatment.
Once the treatment is complete you will have retainers fixed at the back of your teeth and/or removable retainers to wear whilst you sleep to prevent your teeth from shifting back to their previous position.
